Trying to shoot a really high up basket in one of the mid game scenes, but having my hand stop during the over head throw was irritating, (I eventually got it by the way, i only missed one of the several types of collectables.) Another tracking issue I had was with my hands, I really wanted to be able to just let my hands rest on my sides, and since I’m a ghost my hands can just phase through the ground, but some some reason there’s a floor for tracking in the game. Some of the tracking in the game kinda pulled me out of the experience.
However, I do have a couple issues with tracking. All positions in the game allow you to reasonably and effectively grab every single item in the game. its a simple fade out fade in, and if given the ability to smooth turn I think that the player wouldn’t focus on what you are already given. People complain about not having smooth turning, and in the cases of other games I would agree, but I think for this game specifically I do not think that smooth turning is necessary, it’s not intrusive or abrupt. Having all the items that you can interact with be brass, makes it really easy to find out what you can and cannot touch and interact with.
The interactions that you can have with the world are really smart too. I felt like i was part of a living storybook world. Having a crafted world with the animal characters is really the only way to go. the world and characters are just oozing with charm and, in my opinion, I really do not think that you could’ve designed the world in any other way for it to work. I thoroughly enjoyed this game from start to finish. This game is really good, like really good. I played Ghost Giant yesterday, and after sitting around and whatnot I’ve decided to really put my thoughts out there about my opinions on the game in general.
